ABOUT ME

Proven Leadership Through Service

SERVING MY COMMUNITY

Over the past 35 years living in Hood County, I have been involved with and served many incredible organizations that are doing influential work in our community. I have been a continued supporter of Embrace Grace, Ruth’s Place, Paluxy River Child Advocacy Center, Mission Granbury, Brazos Pregnancy Center, and Hood County Children’s Charities as well as volunteered with Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, Food Pantry – Granbury First United Methodist, and Cuisine for Healing.

I am a former board member for Kids Who Care, a  musical theatre nonprofit for children, and am closely involved at Our Savior Lutheran Church. I am a current Altar Guild Member, and was a Sunday School Teacher for 9 years, a Youth Group Leader for 7 years, including 3 years as the Vacation Bible School Music Director, and was able to chaperone a group of students to the National Lutheran Youth Gathering 3 consecutive times.

WHERE I COME FROM

I was born in Fort Worth, Texas, to Charlotte and Bobby Fowler, and grew up playing tennis competitively, including at the NCAA level in college. I moved to Granbury with my parents at the age of 18, and eventually came back to raise a family in Hood County with my husband, Mike, upon my graduation from Law School at the University of Houston.

Mike and I have been married since 1989 and have raised our children here. While we are now empty nesters, we have two perfect dogs at home with us; Maggie (a Basset Hound) and Hercules (a Beagle); and one adorable grand-dog living with our son in Oklahoma, Norman (Basset Hound). Our son Brendan, 22, is a pilot for Envoy Air - American Airlines and lives in Oklahoma City and our daughter Taylor, 25, is a performer for Disney and lives in New York City. Mike and I are long-time members of Our Savior Lutheran Church and have lived in Pecan Plantation for over 25 years.

Proven Conservative

Judicial Philosophy

I am a lifelong Conservative Republican and was honored to be a Delegate to the Republican State Convention for the 2020 election. I am a member of NRA, TSRA, and the Hood County Republican Club, and have volunteered in multiple Republican campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels. My work for these campaigns has ranged from phone banking, block walking, and volunteering at multiple rallies, including the Trump Rally in Pecan Plantation. I am pro-God, pro-family, and pro-Texas.

My judicial philosophy stems from my belief that I am called to “serve God by serving others” (John 13:34), and I can see no better way to do that than by running to be Hood County Court at Law Judge. As Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia says, "a judge who willfully legislates from the bench violates their legal duty". I believe it is a Judge’s duty to follow the law rather than create, mold, and alter laws to conveniently fit certain situations. Hood County deserves a leader with integrity and I would be honored and humbled to be your next Hood County Court at Law Judge.
