Dear Friends and Neighbors-
I am very excited to announce that I am running for Hood County Court at Law Judge!
I believe that Hood County deserves a Judge that has experience in all areas of the law, a Judge with the utmost moral character and integrity, and a Judge that is not a career politician.
I have lived in Hood County for over 35 years. I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Tarleton State University and went on to receive my Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Houston graduating with honors.
My husband of 32 plus years, Mike, and I have raised our children here and are very proud to be a part of this community. We are also members of OurSavior Lutheran Church.
I believe I am called to serve the citizens of Hood County as Judge of the County Court at Law. As stated in John 13:34, “to serve God is to serve others and is the greatest form of charity”. I have volunteered on boards and for organizations as well as in my church. Serving as your County Court at Law Judge would be another way for me to serve my community and to give back to the citizens of Hood County.
I am a conservative Republican who embraces core Republican values and was proud to serve as a delegate to the State Republican convention this past year.
My judicial philosophy is very simple and is patterned after Justice Scalia... a Judge should NEVER
legislate from the bench. A judge should always follow the law and not make new law to fit certain facts.
I believe Hood County deserves a leader with integrity and I would be honored and humbled to serve you as County Court at Law Judge. I am asking for your support and your vote, but most of all, your prayers throughout this election process.
